In this role, you will be the friendly face that helps customers efficiently complete their purchases, provides exceptional service, and ensures a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring all products are scanned correctly and receipts are issued promptly Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store environment is clean, inviting, and well-organized Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and communicating low inventory levels to management Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Support team members by supervising or mentoring new staff when needed, fostering a collaborative work environment Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and special offers to maximize sales opportunities Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a secure cash handling process Qualifications Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is highly advantageous Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus Bilingual abilities are valued to better serve diverse customer bases Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly interactions both in person and over the phone Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is desirable but not required Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and lift moderate loads as needed Enthusiasm for engaging customers through product demos and upselling techniques Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and store presentation standards Join us in creating memorable shopping experiences!
