This newly created role is designed to support the continued growth of our delivery business by standardizing and streamlining customer service, order management, and dispatch operations. We specialize in the delivery of animal feed and farm supplies, serving the equestrian, livestock, and companion animal communities throughout Orange County. The Customer Service Representative / Dispatch will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring accurate order entry, effective communication, and efficient coordination of delivery activities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, enjoys interacting with customers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness are critical to success. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, text message, and web-based channels. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to customer requests and concerns. Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery schedules, order status, delays, or service issues. Order Management Accurately enter customer orders into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and integrated delivery management platforms. Verify order details, pricing, inventory availability, and delivery requirements. Maintain accurate customer and order records. Dispatch & Delivery Coordination Assist in planning and coordinating daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Dispatch drivers and monitor delivery progress using GPS and fleet tracking technology. Coordinate with drivers to address route changes, customer requests, and operational challenges. Monitor delivery performance and resolve service issues as they arise. Inventory & Operational Support Assist with inventory monitoring and replenishment activities. Support operational initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service levels. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail across all administrative and dispatch functions. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation with professional phone etiquette. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and order processing. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based business systems. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, customer service, or order management. Experience with route scheduling, fleet coordination, GPS tracking, and delivery management systems. Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) and inventory management software. Knowledge of equine, livestock, or companion animal feeds and nutrition. Personal or professional experience working with horses, livestock, or farm operations.
Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
