This position supports wildland fire operations by providing fast, accurate document reproduction and customer service to incident personnel in high-pressure environments. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide valuable skills in customer service and technical support.
THIS IS AN ON-CALL SEASONAL POSITION WHICH REQUIRES COMMITMENT DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR WORK. CANDIDATE MUST LIVE WITHIN ONE HOUR OF OUR HOME LOCATION
(VISALIA). Duties Operate high volume copiers, printers, and scanning equipment to produce incident action plans (IAP's), maps and reports or other fire related documents. Prioritize and fulfill urgent print requests for command staff and support personnel under tight deadlines. Provide direct customer service to incident personnel, ensuring accuracy and clarity of all requests. Troubleshoot basic computer, printer, and network connectivity issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and functional work area in a fast paced incident base camp setting. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workload, priorities and technical issues. Adapt quickly to changing operational needs, schedules, and environmental conditions. Requirements Proven experience in customer service and basic computer support. Strong multitasking and time management skills under pressure. Familiarity with computer systems, Microsoft Office applications, data entry, and basic troubleshooting techniques Clear communication with both technical and non-technical personnel. Attention to detail and accuracy in document production. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic, ever changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Must have clean DMV record and current CDL. Ability to drive large box truck to assignment. The work environment is outdoor/field based, including fire camps and incident command posts. Long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays during active incidents. High pressure, time sensitive workload supporting emergency response operations.Pay:
