Job Description

Must be 21 to apply Customer Service supports the studio by delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role focuses on guest interaction, phone support, project setup, technique guidance, kiln workflow, social media content, and studio cleanliness. This position does not teach classes or workshops but does support setup for all scheduled events. Core ResponsibilitiesGuest Support & Front‑of‑House Answering Phones — Provide clear, friendly information about hours, pricing, project types, events, and pickup timelines. Guest Check‑In — Welcome guests, explain how the studio works, and help them get settled with their projects. Project Setup — Prepare materials, explain project sheets, and ensure guests have everything they need. Technique Knowledge — Provide simple guidance on brushes, color choices, glazing basics, and common techniques. Answering Questions — Offer clear, confident responses about projects, timelines, and studio processes. Event Setup (Non‑Teaching Role) Class Setup — Prepare canvases, ceramics, tools, paints, and seating for scheduled classes. Workshop Setup — Set out materials, tools, and technique sheets for specialty workshops. Event & Party Setup — Arrange tables, supplies, signage, and check‑in materials for private parties and studio events.
Note:
This position supports setup only and does not teach or lead any class, workshop, or event. Kiln & Production Kiln Work — Assist with Pick Up Tickets, shelving, loading, unloading, and logging firing cycles. Piece Handling — Safely manage bisque, and glazed items. Pickup Organization — Maintain an orderly pickup area and assist guests retrieving finished pieces. Studio Cleanliness & Reset Cleaning Duties — Wipe tables, reset paper as needed, dust shelves and product, clean sinks, restock supplies, and maintain a tidy, guest‑ready studio at all times. Sweep and mop floors except the kiln room, vacuum and mop, do not sweep because of dust. Bathroom Cleaning — Clean and restock bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, trash, and paper products. Daily Reset — Reset paint bars, and maintain product displays. Social Media & Customer Engagement Operational Support POS Assistance — Support checkout, explain pickup timelines, and answer basic billing questions. Supply Restocking — Refill paints, brushes, glazes, and consumables throughout the day. Requirements Customer Service Experience preferred Comfort with basic art techniques (training provided) Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak studio hours Professional, friendly, and dependable work habits

From $16.50 per hour
