Gear Specialist/Customer Service

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Customer Service Specialist with a passion for outdoor gear and sustainability. In this role, you will engage with customers, provide expert recommendations, and ensure a seamless shopping experience focused on new and used outdoor gear and apparel. Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and assess their needs to provide personalized assistance. Recommend, select, and help customers locate sustainable outdoor merchandise based on their preferences. Describe product features and explain usage, operation, and care. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, sustainability initiatives, and store policies. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and gift certificates. Tag, arrange, and display products in a way that highlights their environmental benefits and promotes sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom and displays. Stay informed about current products, promotions, and sustainability trends in the outdoor industry. Recognize and address potential security risks and theft prevention. Demonstrate self-motivation to enhance team productivity and store success.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred. Strong knowledge of outdoor gear and a commitment to sustainability. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory. A passion for providing outstanding customer service.
