Wildland Fire Industry Location:
Southeast Fort Collins, CO (In-Person)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00 PM About The Supply Cache Since 1991, The Supply Cache has been a premier provider of specialized gear and solutions for the wildland fire community. From our base in Fort Collins, we provide gear to a diverse range of clients, including local, state, national and international government agencies as well as individuals, private contractors and other industries requiring quality gear. We aren't just selling equipment; we are ensuring the brave individuals on the front lines have the tools they need to stay safe and effective. We pride ourselves on a culture of integrity, expertise, and long-term customer relationships. The Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Client Service Specialist to join our tight-knit Customer Service Team. As the heartbeat of our operations , this role is the primary point of contact for our customers via phone, email, and in-person retail. This role handles the full customer journey—from technical product advice and specialized boot fittings to complex government bidding and logistics support.
Key Responsibilities Consultative Sales and Order Management:
Take orders, provide accurate quotes, bids, and product specifications; guide customers through inventory and pricing options.
Logistics:
Proactively manage shipping inquiries, warranties, back orders, and lost package claims to ensure a seamless experience.
Technical Retail:
Assist walk-in customers with specialized services, including pack and boot fittings.
Client Relationship:
Maintain strict confidentiality for our government agency clients while fostering repeat, long-term business relationships.
Communication Excellence:
Deliver consistent, high-quality support that reflects our principles of empathy, patience, and professional integrity.
Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of experience in an office setting or niche retail (specialty/outdoor).
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills; you must be an active listener who can translate technical specs into helpful advice.
Workflow:
Proven ability to multitask with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and 10 Key; ability to quickly learn industry-specific product lines.
Mindset:
A team-first attitude, dependable work ethic, contagious positive energy and a genuine eagerness to learn about the wildland fire industry (prior fire knowledge is not required).
Reliability:
Consistent, punctual attendance and reliable transportation are essential.
Background:
Candidates must meet our background and drug screening requirements.
Pay:
$22.50•$23.50 per hour
