Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections or demonstrations. Manage stock levels by merchandising products attractively, restocking shelves, and organizing displays to maximize sales potential. Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including balancing registers at shift end and ensuring security of cash drawers. Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear and professional communication. Support store operations by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the shopping area remains clean and inviting. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is highly advantageous. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus. Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly phone etiquette and active listening. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling and retail math tasks. Experience with grocery store operations or similar retail settings is beneficial. Proven ability to upsell products through engaging product demos and suggestive selling techniques.
