Customer Quality Engineer Location:
Bradenton, FL Base Salary Rate:
$75,659.00 - $89,010.00 Job type: Full-time About This Role The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for managing product quality from the perspective of customers, customer service, and technical support. Focus on product performance throughout the entire production life cycle including resolving field concerns, providing technical support, and supporting product returns. This individual will also manage Return Material Authorization (RMA), field data integrity, responding to data trends, replacement inventory, and warranty evaluation. This individual will directly with customer service, technical support, and sales support to review customer reports, Quality escalations, and warranty claims. Key Responsibilities Support Quality escalations from customer service and technical support, providing technical expertise and driving resolutions to field escapes. Evaluate and approve or reject warranty evaluation requests based on data and thorough investigation. Perform warranty evaluation when deemed necessary, including expedited resolutions. Monitor replacement part inventory levels and respond to fluctuations in demand and availability. Own the RMA Watch List to drive material for warranty evaluation and issue resolution. Ensure the integrity of the data received through customer returns. Communicate semi-yearly MTTF results to sales and global support. Participate in activities to reduce cost of poor quality. Assess the top factors that increase the warranty costs Basic Qualifications Associate's Degree with 5+ years' relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years' relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and professionalism Strong written and verbal communication abilities Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams Experience monitoring production performance throughout the product life cycle, postproduction launch. Experience working in an engineering or technical organization Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach Compensation and Benefits Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company's performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
