Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Customer Service Representative, where you'll be the friendly face that greets customers and ensures their shopping experience is smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demonstrations Manage cash handling procedures with attention to detail and accountability Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions to enhance sales opportunities Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation and product availability Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about new or featured items Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks in a grocery store environment Qualifications Prior cashiering experience with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and problem-solving ability Experience supervising or mentoring team members is a plus Knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management Familiarity with grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and product demos preferred Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed Join us if you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences while developing your retail expertise!
