Our team is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Underwriter who can evaluate risk, analyze financial data, and make informed funding decisions with speed and accuracy. Position Overview The Underwriter will review and analyze merchant applications, bank statements, credit reports, financial documents, and business performance indicators to determine eligibility for funding. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience in MCA, factoring, equipment financing, or other alternative lending sectors. Key Responsibilities Review merchant applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness Analyze cash flow, bank statements, credit bureau data, and business financials Assess risk tolerance and funding feasibility based on internal guidelines Make approval, decline, or counteroffer recommendations Communicate directly with sales reps, brokers, and internal teams regarding file status Identify inconsistencies, potential fraud, or high-risk indicators Maintain underwriting KPIs, turnaround time, and compliance standards Stay updated on underwriting best practices and industry trends Qualifications Experience not required, although some underwriting experience in MCA or similar financial services preferred (factoring, small business lending, microloans, equipment financing, etc.) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume submissions Excellent communication and decision-making skills High level of integrity, accuracy, and critical thinking Benefits Competitive pay + performance bonuses Paid time off and holidays Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company Supportive and collaborative team environment
