In this role, you will be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth transactions while providing exceptional service. Your proactive approach will help customers find what they need, answer their questions, and leave with a positive impression of our store. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop sales skills, enhance product knowledge, and contribute to a vibrant retail environment. Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting shopping environment Assist with stocking, inventory management, and replenishing products on the sales floor Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely when needed Support supervising staff during busy periods or when assigned supervisory responsibilities Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers in a bilingual environment is a plus Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for sales calculations Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management is advantageous Prior supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team Join us to be part of a lively team committed to delivering outstanding service!
