As a company known for reliability, professionalism, and quality workmanship, we depend on a dispatcher who can keep our technicians moving efficiently and ensure our customers receive the prompt, dependable service they expect from Gulf Coast. This role places you at the center of our daily operations — coordinating schedules, supporting technicians in the field, and maintaining the steady flow of communication that keeps our service department running smoothly. Job Description As the HVAC Dispatcher for Gulf Coast Air Systems, you will manage the day‑to‑day scheduling and dispatching of our service technicians. You'll prioritize incoming calls, assign work based on skillset and location, and ensure each customer receives timely, professional service. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and adapt to changing conditions will directly support our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch HVAC technicians for service, maintenance, and warranty calls across the Tampa Bay area. Prioritize incoming customer requests, emergency calls, and same‑day service needs. Maintain accurate records of work orders, service history, equipment details, and job progress within our dispatching system. Communicate with technicians throughout the day to relay job details, updates, parts needs, and schedule changes. Provide exceptional customer service by managing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring clear follow‑through. Assist with inventory coordination to ensure technicians have the parts and materials needed for efficient service. Support the service manager and office team with daily operational tasks as needed. Qualifications Prior dispatching experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or another skilled‑trade service industry preferred. Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a fast‑paced schedule. Excellent communication skills with both customers and field technicians. Proven problem‑solving ability, especially when handling urgent or unexpected situations. Comfortable working with dispatching software, Microsoft Office, and digital scheduling tools. Detail‑oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering a high‑quality customer experience.
