This role will be cross-trained in both temporary and permanent traffic control products, serving as a key point of contact for customers while ensuring accurate order processing and timely communication. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email Process customer orders accurately, including order entry, updates, and confirmations Utilize SAP Business One for order entry, customer data management, and order tracking Provide product knowledge and support for temporary traffic control (cones, stands, roll-up signs) and permanent signage (rigid, regulatory, and warning signs) Assist customers with product selection, specifications, and availability Coordinate with internal teams (production, shipping, and sales) to ensure timely fulfillment Track and follow up on open orders, backorders, and customer inquiries Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions Support quoting and basic pricing requests as needed Qualifications 1-3 years of customer service experience (phone and email support required) Experience with order entry systems; SAP Business One experience strongly preferred Strong communication skills and professional phone presence High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email systems) Preferred Experience Experience in traffic control, construction, or signage industry Familiarity with MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) standards is a plus Experience working with production or manufacturing environments Key Traits for Success Customer-first mindset Problem-solving attitude Strong follow-through and accountability Ability to learn technical product details quickly Work Environment Fast-paced operations environment supporting production and shipping teams Collaborative role working closely with sales, procurement, and operations
