In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your expertise will ensure a seamless customer experience by accurately diagnosing vehicle issues, providing detailed estimates, and coordinating repairs with our skilled technicians. Your energetic approach and mechanical knowledge will help foster customer trust, promote service sales, and uphold the highest standards of automotive care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead customer interactions, drive service revenue through upselling, and contribute to a positive dealership environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, leveraging automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to identify issues Prepare detailed auto estimates for repairs and maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers while promoting additional services through upselling techniques Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs Manage service writing processes accurately, including documenting customer concerns and repair details in the dealership management system Handle cash transactions securely and maintain accurate records of all service sales and payments Stay informed about current automotive repair techniques and industry best practices to advise customers effectively Foster a positive customer experience by providing expert guidance on vehicle maintenance schedules and automotive care Qualifications Proven dealership experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within an automotive environment Strong auto service management skills with comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems Demonstrated ability in upselling additional services confidently while maintaining excellent customer relationships Experience working with mechanic teams on various repairs including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engines, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Knowledge of cash handling procedures and maintaining accurate financial records Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable Automotive sales experience is a plus but not required Dealertrac experience is a plus Join us as a Senior Service Advisor if you're passionate about automotive excellence!
