Patient Services Representative Location:
Coastal Health- Blackshear GA Position Overview The Patient Services Representative serves patients by managing all inbound phone calls, answering questions, directing calls appropriately, adjusting schedules, and maintaining accurate records and accounts. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Answer incoming calls for multiple providers, including handling 100+ inbound calls per day. Direct calls to appropriate staff and/or locations based on patient needs. Determine patient requirements by asking clarifying questions and actively listening. Respond to inquiries by clarifying requested information, researching details, and providing accurate information. Resolve patient concerns by identifying issues, researching solutions, implementing resolutions, and escalating when necessary. Fulfill patient requests by completing transactions and forwarding requests to appropriate departments. Maintain accurate call documentation and patient records. Keep equipment operational by following established procedures and reporting malfunctions. Participate in educational opportunities to stay current with job knowledge and best practices. Contribute to a positive team environment and support organizational goals. Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and professionalism. Maintain punctuality and low absenteeism. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a high-volume call environment. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and strong documentation skills. Previous healthcare or call center experience preferred.
