Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Service Writer/Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and expertise will ensure a seamless customer experience, accurately documenting vehicle issues, recommending necessary services, and coordinating with technicians to deliver top-quality automotive care. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Accurately document vehicle issues, inspection findings, and customer requests using auto estimating and service writing software Recommend appropriate maintenance and repair services based on mechanical knowledge, automotive diagnostics, and manufacturer guidelines Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards Handle cash transactions professionally and maintain accurate records of all service orders and payments Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing vehicle maintenance or sales opportunities Requirements Proven experience or automotive service management background Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with auto repair processes including oil changes, brake repair, alignments, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, transmissions, diesel engines, air brake systems, and auto body repair is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Experience with auto estimating software and automotive service writing is preferred Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in auto sales is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle cash transactions accurately Join our team where your automotive expertise meets your passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences!
