Client Support Worker Gateway Community Service Board - 3.1 Savannah, GA Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Client Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals living with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or dual diagnoses by promoting independence, recovery, and overall well-being. Staff provide emotional support, assist with daily living skills, monitor client progress, and help implement individualized care plans in a safe and therapeutic environment. These professionals work in apartment based style residential living. Flexible availability is required, as schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift work to ensure continuous client care.
Responsibilities:
Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery journey Observe, document, and report changes in client behaviors, symptoms, or medication side effects to supervisors and clinical staff Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, grocery shopping, budgeting, and maintaining a healthy routine Support implementation of individualized treatment, service, and recovery plans Respond appropriately during crisis situations and assist with de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment Assist clients with accessing community resources, housing support, transportation, and medical or psychiatric appointments Encourage community engagement, social interaction, and skill development Maintain accurate documentation and communication with multidisciplinary treatment teams Promote a respectful, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field preferred Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality CPR/First Aid certification preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on position
