Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Can you stay calm, kind, organized, and professional while juggling phones, texts, clients, pets, and a busy lobby all at once? If that sounds exciting rather than overwhelming, you may be exactly who we're looking for. At Idaho Veterinary Hospital, our Client Service Representatives are far more than receptionists. They are the heartbeat of the client experience and an essential part of our medical team. We are a privately owned, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital practicing Fear-Free medicine with a compassionate, high-standard, client-oriented culture. Our 9-doctor team provides a wide range of services including wellness care, urgent care, surgery, advanced dentistry, rehabilitation, canine reproduction, and exotic animal medicine. One hour you may be helping a worried client with a sick dog, the next you're coordinating care for a parrot, reptile, bird of prey, or pocket pet. It's busy, challenging, rewarding, and never boring. What This Role Looks Like Our CSRs are responsible for creating an exceptional experience for every client and patient that walks through our doors.
Daily responsibilities include:
Answering a high volume of phone calls and text messages Scheduling appointments efficiently and accurately Processing medication refill requests Routing medical questions and patient updates appropriately Checking clients in and confirming patient information Managing lobby flow and helping maintain a calm environment for pets and owners Helping nervous cats, noisy dogs, and exotic pets feel as comfortable as possible Building genuine relationships with clients and their pets Supporting the medical team in a fast-moving environment This is not a quiet front desk job. This is a high-energy, multitasking position that requires emotional intelligence, professionalism, adaptability, and a positive attitude. We are happy to train the right person with the right personality, attitude, and work ethic. Training typically lasts about 4 weeks, but mastering the role fully can take 1-2 years due to the depth of knowledge and pace of the hospital. What Does Not Work Here This position is probably not the right fit for someone who: Struggles in fast-paced or high-volume environments Frequently calls out and leaves teammates short-staffed Dislikes customer interaction Has difficulty staying positive under stress Wants a slow or repetitive desk job Is uncomfortable around medical procedures, bodily fluids, or anxious animals Schedule Full-time position Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating weekends required Compensation & Benefits Pay:
