Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage various tasks will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our patrons. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently during checkout. Process transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments, ensuring accuracy in handling money. Upsell products by effectively communicating promotions and special offers to customers. Maintain an organized and stocked checkout area, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Assist in product demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and engagement. Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers effectively. Basic math proficiency for handling transactions and stock management.
