Job Description

Job Overview As a Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR), you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clinic. This role is essential for maintaining efficient front-desk operations, facilitating seamless communication between our clients and the veterinary team, managing financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of medical records. The ideal candidate will provide empathetic, professional, and high-quality customer service at all times. Duties Greet clients warmly and manage all aspects of the appointment process, including scheduling, check-in, and check-out. Communicate information regarding pet care, veterinary procedures, and clinic policies with clarity and professionalism. Manage incoming phone inquiries, directing calls to appropriate personnel and addressing questions regarding services or pet health concerns. Provide administrative support to the veterinary staff, including the preparation of patient records, updating client information, and maintaining efficient appointment schedules. Coordinate follow-up appointments and deliver clear post-visit instructions to pet owners to ensure the delivery of optimal care. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal handling environment is highly preferred. Foundational knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures. Familiarity with pet grooming, dog training, and animal handling best practices. Experience with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care is considered an asset. Superior communication skills, with the ability to explain medical billing and collection processes clearly to clients. Proven ability to handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques; previous kennel experience is advantageous. Strong computer proficiency for record-keeping and scheduling; experience with veterinary practice management software is preferred.
