Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Service Writer. In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a smooth and transparent process for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Your energetic approach will help create positive experiences, foster customer loyalty, and support our commitment to delivering top-tier service. Responsibilities Write detailed repair orders by accurately documenting customer complaints, symptoms, and requested services Communicate effectively with technicians to relay repair instructions and clarify service requirements Provide clear estimates for repairs, including parts, labor, and additional recommendations such as oil changes or tire services Upsell additional services by explaining benefits to customers while maintaining transparency and integrity Manage customer interactions professionally, ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process Coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely availability of necessary components for repairs Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or automotive service is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, and oil changes Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with auto repair processes enhances effectiveness in the role Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Experience in auto estimating software and automotive repair procedures is advantageous Ability to upsell services ethically while maintaining customer trust Familiarity with diesel engine repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, tire service, and auto body repair is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping This energetic role invites motivated individuals eager to make an impact, If you thrive in a lively environment where your mechanical knowledge and sales skills can shine—this is the perfect opportunity for you!
