Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Service Writer, where your enthusiasm for semi trucks and exceptional customer service skills will drive success! In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. Your knowledge and sales acumen will help diagnose customer needs, recommend appropriate services, and facilitate efficient vehicle repairs. This position offers an energetic environment where your mechanical understanding and communication skills can truly shine, contributing to customer satisfaction and growth. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their service requests. Collaborate with technicians to understand vehicle issues, suspensions, air brakes, oil changes, tire services, electrical, A/C, wheel seals & shocks Inventory control, parts ordering Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance packages, tire rotations. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments for services rendered. Maintain comprehensive records of all service transactions, customer interactions, and vehicle histories to support ongoing customer relationships. Qualifications Semi truck experience with a strong background in service management or service writing. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, and repair procedures including oil changes, air brake repair, tire service, diesel engines, shocks, A/C, electrical & wheel seals. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with customers. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping.
