Client Services Coordinator 7526 Harrison Street, Forest Park, IL 60130 Salary based on experience Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid time off Paid holidays Worker's compensation FMLA- maternity / family leave Full Job Description Summary and Purpose The Client Services Coordinator provides leadership for program operations, including preparing and overseeing budgets, collaborating with community partners, and serving as a liaison to funding sources, attorneys, and the courts. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the center and supporting staff in a manner that ensures the SSPS mission, vision, and values guide all aspects of service delivery. Responsibilities include integrating applicable standards and regulations into practice, supporting professional development, providing technical assistance, and overseeing program implementation. The Client Services Coordinator also leads key human resource functions, including recruitment, hiring, and retention of staff and volunteers. Essential Functions or Duties and Responsibilities Consistently ensure that all actions and communications reflect and uphold the agency's mission, vision, and core values. Administer contracts and grants for SSPS; manage budgets, and act as a liaison with funding sources. Recruit, hire, supervise, and mentor paid staff and volunteers. Provide leadership, supervision and guidance for staff in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner. Support the development of a Project Team that operates in and models SSPS culture and values in their internal and external interactions. Identify and provide research-based technical assistance to staff in support of their individual growth. Monitor professional development through annual evaluations and performance improvement plans and coordinate training for staff. Conduct initial intake interviews/orientations and safety screening with parents/guardians and children, demonstrating sensitivity to the unique needs of children impacted by divorce or family trauma; assign a Supervised Visitation Monitor who is appropriately matched to the family's needs. Coordinate, observe and document visits; enforce court orders and conditions. Execute any necessary protective duties to ensure a safe visitation for the visiting children and families; provide crisis intervention if needed. Develop strategies to serve clients who have a variety of problems, which may include substance abuse, mental health problems, history of criminal activities, etc. Promote center services through multiple avenues, including but not limited to: participation in professional associations and community networks; developing and maintaining a social media presence; coordinating outreach events and presentations; distributing promotional materials; and building relationships with referral sources and community partners. Abide by the conflict-of-interest policy and report any prior relationships with new clients if/when they arise to supervisor and avoid dual roles. In collaboration with Director support data collection and analysis using results from semi-annual client and collaborator surveys to drive effective programming in SSPS Center(s). Develop rapport and trusting relationships with the families served. Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings and case management. Identify and pursue individual professional development needs and objectives related to the position. Review and study relevant research and theory, participate and attend professional conferences and presentations and take part in classes when appropriate Perform other duties as needed to achieve the mission of the SSPS Legal Requirements Be at least 18 years of age. Have no conviction of child molestation, child abuse, or other crimes relating to children. Have no conviction of a violent crime and/or on probation or parole during the last five years. Have had no civil or criminal restraining order issued against him or her within the last five years. Be in compliance with local health requirements for direct contact with children. Ability to solve complex problems, respond quickly in a crisis, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there may not be directives nor a lot of clarity. Ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude when working with others whose values and beliefs may be in contrast with their own values and beliefs. Ability to learn and grow without feeling defensive. Capable of receiving feedback and being willing to change. The ability to make decisions and defer decision-making to other staff when necessary. The ability to manage conflict effectively and model healthy communication styles Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate clients' needs and the program Acts professionally and ethically at all times and maintains positive, cooperative, and productive working relationships with colleagues and collaborative partners. Be in compliance with local health requirements for direct contact with children; Ability and willingness to hold a physically and emotionally demanding position Knowledge of or experience in intimate partner violence. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with children or families. Knowledge of state and community resources. Bilingual skills (English, Spanish, and/or another langauge). Education Requirements Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology or similar field, minimum 2 years of experience working with domestic violence, child abuse, mental health, substance abuse or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experiences that demonstrates the knowledge skills and ability required for the position.
Licenses and Certifications:
LMSW or LPC preferred but not required.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
