A growing medical diagnostics company in the Lake Zurich area is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join its team. The company develops innovative products and solutions that support healthcare professionals and the medical community, offering a collaborative work environment and opportunities for professional growth.
Job Description:
The Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for processing customer orders, coordinating shipment and logistics updates, and providing exceptional support to domestic and international customers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely resolution of customer inquiries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and enter customer orders accurately through multiple channels, including phone, email, fax, and EDI systems.
  • Verify order details, pricing, shipping information, and delivery requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness before release.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to domestic and international customers by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate order status, shipment tracking, and logistics updates to customers, ensuring visibility throughout the fulfillment process.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, warehouse, and logistics teams, to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing information.
  • Maintain organized records of customer orders, shipping documents, delivery confirmations, and related administrative paperwork.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns by identifying root causes, coordinating corrective actions, and following up to ensure complete satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in order entry, customer service, and handling escalated customer support
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with ERP, CRM, EDI, or order management systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, resolve customer issues efficiently, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
