Job Description

PrideStaff is currently seeking a dedicated Customer Experience & Hair Care Specialist for a growing client in Orland Park. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping people embrace their natural texture with confidence by creating high-quality products for curly, wavy, and coily hair. The brand centers around education, care, and community, going beyond products to deliver meaningful, personalized experiences. In this role, you will be empowered to make decisions, contribute ideas, and directly impact the customer experience in a fast-paced, purpose-filled environment. Monday•Friday, 8:30 AM•5:00 PM (Requirements include availability for weekends, some evenings, and holidays as needed)

$22•26/hr

What You'll Do Manage a high volume of customer inquiries across email and social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.). Guide customers on product selection and specific curly hair care/styling techniques. Resolve order-related issues including tracking, edits, cancellations, and order education. Review and process reshipment requests quickly and accurately. Document all customer interactions and updates to maintain clean records.
Operational Insights:
Identify recurring customer issues and share insights to help improve overall business operations. Partner with team members to enhance the overall customer journey. Independently resolve non-standard issues when SOPs don't apply. Escalate complex issues with clear recommendations, rationale, and potential impact. Own customer issues from the initial contact until full resolution.
Requirements Experience:
4+ years of customer service experience (ideally in a remote and/or e-commerce environment).
Niche Expertise:
1+ year of curly hair consulting/advising (stylist, salon, brand educator, or equivalent experience).
Education:
Associate's degree (minimum requirement).
Adaptability:
Proven ability to work independently and make decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Execution:
A track record of taking initiative and driving issues to resolution.
What Success Looks Like Platform Fluency:
Strong fluency across social platforms and modern customer service tools.
Domain Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of curly, wavy, and coily hair care, as well as an expert understanding of product lines and brand voice.
Communication:
Clear, concise, and empathetic communication with both customers and team members. ???????

High attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and customer responses.
Proactive:
Confident decision-making with minimal oversight, focusing on root causes rather than just symptoms.

Navigating ambiguity with sound judgment and bringing solutions to the table rather than just escalating problems.
