Facility Overview:
This Sauget terminal is a multi-service marine and rail facility handling bulk, breakbulk, and liquid commodities including petcoke, cement, chemicals, and other materials. The site operates barge docks on the Mississippi River, railcar switching with unit train capability, warehouse operations, liquid storage tanks, and material handling systems. The facility is accessible by barge, truck, and rail. Job Summary The Customer Service Representative will provide professional support to customers while ensuring accuracy in documentation and daily operational processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person Provide excellent customer service with patience and professionalism Coordinate incoming orders with internal teams Coordinate product delivery with outside carriers Prepare accurate documentation and maintain required records Perform detailed data entry with dual verification of critical information Provide general administrative support and maintain organized records Perform basic math calculations and complete daily tasks accurately Apply procedures using sound judgment Maintain dependable attendance and consistent performance Contribute positively as part of a team Work in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements Contribute to continuous improvement efforts Other duties as assigned Qualifications Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Excel required) Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines Ability to remain professional during peak workloads Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
