Job Description

Customer Service Representative Bailey Family Insurance Springfield, IL Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $50,000 a year 18 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Insurance products customer support Insurance issue resolution Property & Casualty License Managing clients in a customer support role Coordinating with insurance clients Full Job Description We don't hire salespeople. We hire shepherds. At Bailey Family Insurance, we're not looking for someone who's good at closing tickets. We're looking for someone who loses sleep when a client doesn't have the right coverage. Someone who picks up the phone not because it's their job, but because they know the person on the other end is scared — and they can actually help. We're a veteran-owned, faith-driven independent agency in Springfield, Illinois, and we've built nearly 1,000 five-star reviews one real conversation at a time. If you've ever felt like your work should mean something — it can here. But only if helping people is genuinely who you are. We'll know in the first five minutes. Why this seat exists We're growing. Our Senior Commercial Lines Producer needs a partner who holds the service side of the book to the same standard he holds the relationships. That's you. You'll be the voice and the hands behind every commercial client who calls in needing a certificate, an endorsement, a claim handoff, or just a human being who actually knows their account. You'll work directly with one of our top producers, side by side with our commercial service team, inside an agency where you actually matter. Who you are
  • Someone who reads the paragraph above and leans in, not out
  • Someone who has been overlooked, micromanaged, treated like a number, or chained to a corporate script — and knows there has to be a better way
  • Someone who stays steady when things go sideways: claims, audits, mid-term changes, hard premium conversations
  • Someone who genuinely likes the work of taking care of people
Either:
(a) holds an Illinois Property & Casualty license, OR (b) is willing to study and pass within 90 days of hire — BFI pays for the course and the exam What you'll actually do
  • Service the commercial book alongside our Senior CL Producer — certificates of insurance, endorsements, billing questions, audit responses, renewal coordination
  • Be the calm, capable voice when a commercial client calls in confused, frustrated, or in the middle of a claim
  • Work in EZLynx (our agency management system) and AgencyZoom (our CRM and automation platform) — we train you fully on both
  • Document, track, and follow through — the kind of follow-through that makes clients say they've never had service like this
  • Coordinate with carrier partners — Erie, Travelers, Hartford, EMC and others — to get clients what they need
  • Be part of a daily team standup, a weekly rhythm, and a culture that genuinely cares about the work Why people stay at BFI
  • Veteran owned. Faith driven. We mean both of those words.
  • A 5.0-star average across nearly 1,000 Google reviews — most of them name a team member personally
  • Small enough that you are never a number — you are part of how the agency runs
  • We grow our people. The Senior CL Producer you'll partner with started in a seat like this one.
  • Real benefits, real paid time off, and real respect for the life you have outside of work
  • A brand-new office on historic Route 66 in Springfield — built to be a place people actually want to come to How to apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
