Position Summary Canteen is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher & Intake Specialist to serve as the central point of coordination for service requests, technician scheduling, and customer communications. This role is responsible for receiving and processing incoming requests, gathering required information, prioritizing service needs, dispatching field technicians, and ensuring timely follow-up throughout the service lifecycle. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent communication skills, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Intake Management Receive and process inbound service requests via phone, email, portal submissions, and other communication channels. Gather and verify customer information, service details, site requirements, and priority levels. Create, update, and maintain accurate service tickets and work orders within designated systems. Assess requests for completeness and route issues to the appropriate teams when necessary. Dispatch Coordination Schedule and dispatch technicians based on location, skill set, availability, and service urgency. Monitor technician schedules and adjust assignments to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Communicate appointment details, schedule changes, and updates to customers and field personnel. Coordinate emergency and high-priority service requests as needed. Customer Service & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service status and scheduling. Provide timely updates and resolve scheduling concerns professionally. Maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive communication and responsiveness. Escalate customer issues when appropriate to ensure prompt resolution. Administrative Support Maintain accurate records of service activities, customer interactions, and dispatch logs. Track service completion and ensure all documentation is properly closed out. Assist with reporting, KPI tracking, and operational metrics. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance dispatch and intake processes.  High school diploma or equivalent.  2+ years of experience in dispatching, scheduling, customer service, call center operations, or a related field.  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling/service management software.  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Experience in technology services, field service operations, facilities management, or technical support environments. Experience using CRM, ticketing, or work order management systems. Knowledge of dispatching best practices and route optimization.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
