Job Description

Job Overview Are you looking for a meaningful part-time career in a small, friendly sales environment? Come join our team in this very unique position as a customer service/sales associate, selling medical/mobility equipment and supplies. We are a small non-profit organization, and we are looking for a self-motivated lead sales employee to join our team. Reliability/great attendance is critical, as well as being a team player on our small, close-knit team. Hours are 12:00pm-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service through active listening and clear communication. Learn inventory so you can assist customers in selecting products, offering product demos to highlight features and benefits. Operate cash register accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently. Maintain attractive merchandise displays, assist with sales floor organization and tidiness. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse customer base, including senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. Qualifications Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience in the healthcare field plus familiarity with home medical equipment. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills are essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers in person and over the phone. Ability to perform physical tasks such as organizing merchandise displays and sales floor merchandise and standing for extended periods.
