Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Representative, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every customer. In this role, you will be the friendly face that assists shoppers with their purchases, handles transactions accurately, and provides exceptional service that keeps customers coming back. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth store operations, from managing sales to engaging customers with product demos and upselling opportunities. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and resolving concerns with professionalism and courtesy Manage cash handling duties, including counting cash drawers, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end Assist customers with product demonstrations and upselling to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Follow phone etiquette protocols when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone Support store operations through inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in stock audits Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Demonstrated ability to handle POS systems confidently and accurately process transactions Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for pricing and discounts, and proficiency in upselling techniques Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising practices, and customer service standards is beneficial Ability to maintain professionalism with excellent phone etiquette and customer interaction skills Embark on a fulfilling career where your positive attitude fuels memorable shopping experiences!
