Job Description
Job Overview Wayne County Federal Credit Union is looking for a professionally motivated and member focused individual as a full-time Member Service Representative, where you'll be the friendly face and helpful voice that guides our members through their banking experience. This energetic role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, promoting financial literacy, and supporting members in achieving their financial goals. You will handle a variety of transactions, assist with financial products, and foster strong relationships to ensure member satisfaction and loyalty. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment that encourages members to explore our full range of financial services. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting members warmly and addressing their inquiries promptly and professionally in person, by phone, and online. Process a wide range of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash handling, debits & credits, and check cashing with accuracy and efficiency Direct members to the proper staff for loan processes, including explaining loan options, completing applications Promote banking products and services tailored to member needs to enhance their financial well-being Manage customer relationships through effective relationship management techniques, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction Detect and prevent potential fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and adhering to security protocols Support Social Media and Marketing Initiatives to promote products and services Maintain accurate records using financial software Perform basic math calculations Qualifications Basic knowledge of Financial Services a plus Strong background in customer service with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of banking operations including cash management, cashiering, and retail math is a plus Familiarity with customer relationship management tools and fraud prevention techniques Ability to handle cash accurately while performing cash handling duties with integrity Basic math skills for balancing accounts, processing debits & credits, and performing retail math calculations Proficiency in financial software systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new technology platforms Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset What We Offer Full-Time Hours Competitive Pay Opportunities for Growth and Development Friendly and Supportive Work Environment Join us as a Member Service Representative if you're motivated by helping others succeed financially!
