Job Description

Member Service Representative - I Walnut Grove MHA, Inc. South Bend, IN Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Paid time off Paid orientation Qualifications Microsoft Word Customer communication Guest relations Filing Administrative experience Multi-line phone systems Full Job Description Member Service Representative Do you enjoy helping people, keeping things running smoothly, and being the friendly human who actually knows what's going on ? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Member Service Representative role! We're a community‑focused housing organization, and this role bridges the gap between our Property Manager and our Members — the person who helps the office feel welcoming, organized, and under control (even on days when the phones ring like they're auditioning for a talent show). What You'll Do You'll be central to daily operations and the member experience — similar to the responsibilities captured in our official MSR role descriptions (like greeting members, answering calls, updating records, and keeping the office running smoothly).
Your day may include:
Greeting members and visitors with warmth (and basic human kindness). Answering multi‑line phones without fear. Assisting the Property Manager with office and community operations. Entering information, light paperwork, organizing member documents, and other office necessities. Acting as the "friendly bridge" between management and members. Keeping things confidential, tidy, and positive — inspired by real MSR expectations in our community files. Providing the kind of customer service that makes people think, Wow, that was refreshingly pleasant. You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who is responsible, shows up consistently, and is looking for a steady, reliable position that adds a little extra income without the need for full‑time hours or benefits. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work, wants a predictable schedule, and appreciates being part of a calm, supportive office environment
You'll Shine In This Role If You:
Have basic organization skills (no need to alphabetize your cereal, just the usual office things). Are genuinely happy to assist others and make their day easier. Say what you mean and mean what you say — clarity beats guesswork. Understand and practice basic office courtesies. Are cordial, polite, and not one for drama or gossip (save that energy for Netflix). Know your way around Microsoft Word and email, and can handle multi‑line phones. Carry an overall positive, steady, calm demeanor — the glue that holds an office together. Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Perfect for someone who likes meaningful work and still having half a day left afterward. Pay Starts at$18.00 per hour with minimal experience. Pay is negotiable. Predictable, steady, and honest — just how we like our communication. Why You'll Love Working Here You'll be a central part of the community. You'll work closely with the Property Manager. You'll be appreciated — this role makes a difference every single day. And yes, we believe in being real, fair, and keeping things light where we can. If you're dependable, kind, organized enough to keep track of office responsibilities (and maybe the occasional key… we have lots of them), and ready to contribute to a positive community environment, we'd love to meet you.
