Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will help guide customers through their service experience, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, providing accurate estimates, scheduling repairs, and upselling additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine automotive expertise with exceptional customer service, contributing to a positive dealership experience for every client. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly upon arrival and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair procedures, estimated costs, and timeframes clearly and transparently Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring accuracy for all requested services Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs efficiently while managing customer expectations Upsell recommended services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Write clear and comprehensive service orders and work authorizations while maintaining detailed records of all transactions Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and securely during the service process Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures to assist customers effectively Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally Experience Previous dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with automotive service management is a strong asset Proven success in upselling automotive services and parts to maximize revenue opportunities Hands-on mechanic or technician experience with automotive diagnostics, engine repair (including diesel engines), transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, air brake systems, or auto body repair is advantageous Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is desirable Knowledge of automotive repair procedures across various systems ensures confidence when discussing vehicle issues with customers Join us in delivering outstanding automotive care!
