Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team At Ashland Beverage Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle cash register operations, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. Responsibilities Operate the cash register and handle all transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their inquiries or concerns. Assist in supervising sales associates to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Promote products through effective upselling techniques and product demonstrations. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and provide change as necessary. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers. Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash register operations and Point of Sale (POS) systems is advantageous. Strong basic math skills to ensure accurate transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in product demos and upselling techniques is a plus.
