Position Overview:
James Medical Equipment is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a fast-paced medical office environment that requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This position is not a casual office job. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and handling a high volume of phone calls, patient interactions, and documentation. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, arrives on time, works well independently, and understands the importance of serving patients with compassion and professionalism. - Professional communication with patients, physicians, referral sources, and insurance companies Ability to learn Medicare, Medicaid, insurance requirements, and company procedures Willingness to accept responsibility and follow tasks through to completion Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities Essential Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming phone calls Assist patients and referral sources with equipment and supply questions Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Enter patient information accurately into computer systems Obtain and process required medical documentation •Prepare and maintain patient records Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups Process orders and complete required paperwork• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Assist with inventory, retail sales, and general office duties Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
Previous office, customer service, medical office, insurance, billing, bookkeeping, or healthcare experience preferred Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask in a busy environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 65 pounds Occasionally lift up to 85 pounds Sit approximately 6 hours per day Stand and walk approximately 2 hours per day Important We are seeking an individual who is looking for long-term employment and wants to build a career with our company.
