Workshop Manager & Technical Service Specialist -
Gearboxes & Winches Location:
Ponchatoula, LA 70454Salary:
$60K - $70K + Bonus | Relocation Support Available We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager & Technical Service Specialist to lead technical service, spare parts sales, and repair operations for drive technology products. This hands-on role combines mechanical expertise, customer support, and sales to ensure top-quality service and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
Lead spare parts sales, claims, and repair management for gearboxes and winches. Provide technical consulting and customer support for drive technology products. Collaborate with inside sales on orders, proposals, and customer negotiations. Plan, coordinate, and execute on-site service operations, including assembly, inspections, and repairs. Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs both in-house and at customer locations. Prepare quotations, technical documentation, and customized solutions. Conduct customer meetings, technical inspections, and tailored sales presentations. Accurately document sales activity, service operations, and market trends. Participate in ongoing product and technical training to stay current with industry developments.Required Qualifications:
Hands-on experience assembling, maintaining, and repairing gearboxes and winches. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, ideally in drive technology. Ability to troubleshoot and perform independent repairs on-site and in-house. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently, including international assignments (~35%). Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset. Proficient in MS Office; ERP system experience (Sage) is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:
