Savvy Staffing Solutions,LLC Warehouse Customer Service Representativ Medford, MA Apply Warehouse Customer Service Representative Role Summary The Warehouse Customer Service Representative acts as the vital link between logistics operations and the client base. This role requires a professional who can navigate the fast-paced environment of a distribution center while maintaining high-level communication standards. You will be responsible for managing order flows, resolving shipping discrepancies, and ensuring that client requirements are met with precision and efficiency. Primary Responsibilities You will serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, tracking, and delivery timelines. This involves processing incoming orders through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and coordinating closely with the floor supervisors to prioritize urgent shipments. When discrepancies arisesuch as shorted items or damaged goodsyou will lead the investigation, document the findings, and process the necessary returns or credits. Additionally, you will maintain accurate digital records of all client interactions and inventory adjustments to ensure data integrity across the supply chain. Operational Coordination A significant portion of your day will involve collaborating with freight carriers to schedule pickups and resolve transit delays. You will also assist the inventory team during cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with system records, ensuring that the \"available to promise\" numbers remain accurate for the sales team. Your ability to translate complex warehouse movements into clear, professional updates for clients is essential for maintaining long-term business relationships. Required Qualifications Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of experience in a customer-facing role within a logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suitespecifically Excel for data entry and trackingis required. Experience with WMS platforms or ERP software is highly preferred. You must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under the pressure of tight shipping deadlines. Physical and Environmental Demands This position is based within a warehouse office environment. You should be comfortable transitioning between a desk setting and the warehouse floor, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Occasional light lifting or moving of packages for inspection purposes may be required.
