About Us Long Subaru is a premier retailer of new and pre-owned Subaru vehicles and provides factory-trained, certified service to our customers. For over 95 years, we have been committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining the highest standards in automotive sales and service. We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. Whether you have automotive experience or are transitioning from retail, hospitality, food service, or another customer-facing role, we provide the training and support needed to build a successful career in the automotive industry. Position Summary The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department. This role involves greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, recommending maintenance and repair services, and ensuring a positive service experience from vehicle drop-off through delivery. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally. Listen to and document customer concerns regarding vehicle performance and maintenance needs. Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and inspections. Communicate repair and maintenance recommendations clearly and accurately. Prepare repair orders and ensure all necessary information is documented. Coordinate with technicians regarding vehicle diagnosis and repair status. Keep customers informed throughout the repair process. Review completed work and explain services performed upon vehicle delivery. Recommend preventative maintenance and additional services when appropriate. Schedule future service appointments and follow up with customers. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Meet departmental sales and customer service goals. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service background preferred. Automotive experience is a plus but not required. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.
