Part-Time Guest Service Representative -
Hampton Inn Position Summary:
The Part-Time Guest Service Representative (GSR) is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering a warm, friendly, and professional experience. This hands-on role includes check-in/check-out, guest assistance, answering phones, and supporting front desk operations to ensure a smooth and welcoming stay for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in/check-out guests in a friendly and professional manner, following Hampton Inn brand standards Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions Handle guest requests, concerns, or complaints promptly and courteously, escalating when necessary Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding reservations, availability, and hotel policies Process guest payments accurately and maintain cash drawer and point-of-sale records Support daily front desk operations, including room assignments, key issuance, and reservation updates Assist with administrative duties, such as filing, reporting, and maintaining accurate records Ensure the front desk area and lobby are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times Follow brand safety, security, and emergency procedures to ensure guest and team member safety Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast attendants) to meet guest needs

Achieve positive guest feedback through surveys, online reviews, and in-person interactions
Accuracy:
Ensure accurate processing of reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and payments
Response Time:
Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests
Professionalism:
Maintain Hampton Inn brand standards for appearance, behavior, and communication
Efficiency:
Complete front desk tasks quickly while maintaining attention to detail
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience preferred; hotel or hospitality experience a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills, including reservation systems and Microsoft Office Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Working Conditions:
Indoor work environment at the front desk and lobby Variable shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Continuous interaction with guests and team members
Expectations:
Deliver exceptional guest service consistent with Hampton Inn brand standards Act with urgency and professionalism in resolving guest concerns Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues Take ownership of front desk operations and support overall hotel success
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
