Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee-based beverages and providing excellent customer service. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee-based beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and macchiatos
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
• Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns
• Upsell additional products or specials to customers
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee blends
• Familiarity with operating a cash register and handling financial transactions accurately
• Understanding of food safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills Retail math skills are preferred but not required.

This is a paid position with competitive compensation. Please note that all positions must be paid, including internship positions.
