Cashier/Customer Service/Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all patrons. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist in merchandising products and maintaining attractive displays to enhance the shopping experience. Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new or featured items. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures. Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and provide supervisory support when needed. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred. Familiarity with basic math and retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members. Experience in product demos or merchandising is a plus, as well as any supervisory experience that can contribute to team leadership.
