II - VITA
& Client Services Position Summary Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. (GCCAC) is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused individual to serve as the Coordinator II - Client Services & VITA Support. This position provides year-round support to GCCAC's Service Coordination and Asset Development programs through client intake, scheduling, administrative support, and coordination of services related to Energy Assistance, Weatherization, Home Repair, and other community-based programs. In addition, this position will coordinate and support the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program during tax season, including appointment scheduling, volunteer support, and program organization. This position works closely with staff, volunteers, community partners, and clients to ensure quality customer service and smooth daily operations within the department. VITA Program Coordination (Seasonal)
- Coordinate all aspects of the VITA Program during tax season
- Schedule appointments and manage workflow for tax preparation services
- Support, communicate with, and assist volunteers and community partners
- Ensure compliance with
IRS/VITA
program requirements and procedures
- Track program outcomes and assist with required reporting and data collection
- Maintain organized client files and documentation
- Training will be offered Energy Assistance, Weatherization & Home Repair Support ( Year-Round Primary Duties)
- Assist with client intake, phone calls, and scheduling
- Support coordination of Energy Assistance appointments and documentation collection, as needed
- Provide administrative support for Weatherization and Home Repair programs
- Help clients complete paperwork and gather required documentation
- Maintain accurate records and case notes within agency systems
- Provide quality customer service to individuals and families seeking assistance Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with clients and partners
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or related experience preferred Position Details

Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Pay Rate:
Starting at $17.29 per hour ($35,967 annually)
