Job Description

As a dedicated fixture of the Bar Harbor area, The Lynam Agency has proudly provided custom insurance solutions to our community since 1884. We're more than just an insurance agency; we're a close-knit team dedicated to providing peace of mind to our neighbors. We believe in genuine relationships and exceptional service, delivered with a personal touch that only a local agency can offer. We're looking for a passionate and client-focused Insurance Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll be the trusted advisor for our clients, helping them protect what matters most. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference by understanding clients' unique needs and crafting tailored insurance solutions. Responsibilities:
Serve the customer, provide service beyond the client's expectations. Answer incoming phone calls and assist or direct clients to appropriate sources.
Service existing clients:
Issue policy changes, review policy documents for accuracy, analyze policy components and conduct billing services. Efficiently navigate client billing inquiries to provide accurate information, and complete billing transactions with precision. Serve as a primary point of contact for our clients. Understand client needs thoroughly to recommend appropriate insurance solutions. Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with clients maintaining regular contact to ensure satisfaction and retention. Assess and analyze current insurance policies to make recommendations, identify opportunities for savings, and assess coverage adequacy. Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with underwriters and claims departments to facilitate smooth client experiences. Stay updated on industry trends and new product offerings. Provide exceptional customer service and support. Attend training and continuing education courses.
Requirements:
State Insurance License Required. Will consider unlicensed individual with willingness and commitment to obtain license upon hiring. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to understand and explain complex insurance policies and coverage details. Proficiency with computer systems and client management software. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team dynamic. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple clients and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to attend ongoing training and professional development. Ability to arrive on time and be dependable for a 40-hour work week commitment.
