Job Title:
Customer Service Representative (CSR) - Commercial Printing (Digital & Offset) Position Summary The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for customers, managing print projects from initial inquiry through final delivery. This role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a working knowledge of commercial printing processes, including both digital and offset printing. The CSR works closely with customers, sales representatives, prepress, production, and shipping teams to ensure projects are completed accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for customer accounts, building and maintaining positive relationships.
- Process customer orders, quotes, and job specifications accurately.
- Review artwork, files, and job requirements to ensure production readiness.
- Coordinate projects through prepress, digital and offset press operations, bindery, mailing, and shipping.
- Communicate production schedules, project updates, and delivery timelines to customers.
- Resolve customer questions, concerns, and production issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor project status and follow up to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate customer records and job documentation.
- Identify opportunities for additional products and services to meet customer needs.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in commercial printing or a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of digital printing, offset printing, finishing, and mailing processes preferred. Experience reading job specifications and understanding print terminology. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and print management/ERP software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset. Preferred Skills Understanding of paper stocks, finishing options, color management, and print production workflows. Experience with variable data printing and direct mail projects. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and basic prepress file requirements. Ability to interpret customer artwork and production specifications. Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the production floor. Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer throughout the workday. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
