Job Description

Position Summary:
The Customer Relationship Specialist plays a key role in growing Dead River Company's customer base and strengthening existing relationships. This position is responsible for placing outgoing and receiving incoming telephone calls with both current and prospective customers. The primary focus is on inside sales— acquiring new customers through consultative selling and expanding offerings with existing customers. Success in this role comes from actively engaging customers, identifying their needs, and recommending solutions that drive sales while providing exceptional service.
Essential Functions:
Receive incoming calls from prospective customers with the goal of effectively selling Dead River Company products and services. Actively listen, ask clarifying questions, and position solutions that meet customer needs. Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of all departments, products, services, and delivery/service schedules to confidently cross-sell and upsell while responding to customer inquiries. Promote customer enrollment in price protection programs through consultative telephone sales. Participate in promotional sales campaigns and contests to achieve individual and team sales goals. Perform clerical and computer-related tasks such as setting up and maintaining customer accounts, clearly documenting the customer interaction, credit card processing, and payments received by phone to support the sales process. Retain customers and capture new business opportunities during account transitions, such as moves. Proactively manage move logs, follow up with both departing and incoming customers, and convert opportunities into sales.
Experience & Education:
Minimum 2 years' experience in inside sales or call center sales using telephone sales techniques. Computer proficiency and knowledge of basic accounting required. Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent
