Client Service Specialist Alpena, Michigan | Full-Time | In-Office Join a Growing, People-First Financial Planning Team OsborneKlein has experienced significant growth over the past five years—and we're just getting started. As our firm continues to expand, we're looking for a Client Service Specialist who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a long-term career in financial services. You'll work as an employee of an independent Ameriprise Financial advisor franchise , supporting a private wealth advisory practice that values professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional client care. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and being a key part of a close-knit office. Location & Schedule Alpena, MI (in-office) Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Why This Role Matters As a Client Service Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our clients feel supported, welcomed, and confident in their relationship with our advisors. Your work allows advisors to focus on what they do best—deepening client relationships—while knowing the day-to-day operations are handled with care and precision. What You'll Do Client Experience & Communication Be the friendly first point of contact for clients—both in person and on the phone Answer incoming calls and general inquiries using a multi-line, multi-location phone system Schedule, adjust, and coordinate client appointments while resolving conflicts as needed Ensure every client interaction reflects the OsborneKlein brand and delivers a consistent, high-quality experience Client Service & Operational Support Respond to client inquiries regarding their accounts in a timely and professional manner Support client meetings by preparing materials, documenting notes, and following advisor direction Assist with business processing, including accessing client data, completing forms, and preparing correspondence and agreements for signatures Join advisors in client meetings to provide administrative and service support Compliance & Office Operations Accurately document all client interactions in accordance with Ameriprise Financial and practice guidelines Process incoming and outgoing mail following corporate compliance standards Maintain strict confidentiality and security of sensitive client information Learn and adhere to Ameriprise corporate compliance and regulatory requirements Become proficient in proprietary financial planning software and internal systems What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no current or future visa sponsorship required) Strong desire to build relationships and deliver outstanding client service Ability to work independently while keeping leadership informed of progress and challenges Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to follow policies, rules, and regulations set by OsborneKlein, Ameriprise Financial, and FINRA Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of college coursework Experience with Microsoft Teams, contact management systems, or database software Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for learning new software tools Key Skills & Competencies Positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow Comfortable interacting with clients in person, by phone, and virtually Clear, professional, and courteous communication style Strong attention to detail and excellent time management Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic environment Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute and collaborate
