Job Description
Come Join the Wilson Family of Boat Showrooms!! Positions available in Commerce Twp, and Howell Love boating and talking with people? We're looking for a Marine Service Writer with boating knowledge, solid computer skills, and the ability to clearly explain mechanical repairs and service needs to customers. Must be organized, customer friendly, and able to work in a fast-paced marine environment. Experience in marine service or boating preferred. Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet Customers in a timely, friendly and professional manner. Let Customers who are waiting know that they will be helped soon.
- Communicate clearly with customer to determine the nature of their service issue
- Obtain accurate customer and vessel information
- Proper write up of Work Order, clearly defining issues. Repair orders must be legible.
- take good pictures of boat/work needed
- Notify Shop foreman of pending work
- Provide estimates for labor and parts, following up with customers for additional required repairs and costs
- Follow the progress of each repair order. Contact customer regarding any changes in the estimated promised completion date.
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments
- Compare final invoice with original repair order
- Assist customer at completion of repairs to pick up/deliver vessel back to them
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business. Ensure work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
- Saturdays are required (Day off during week) and Rotating Sundays (In Season) Skills Required
