Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer. In this role, you will handle transactions efficiently, assist customers with their needs, and promote products through engaging demos and upselling techniques. Your friendly communication skills and retail expertise will ensure customers leave satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional purchases through effective upselling strategies. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are presented attractively. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing backstock areas. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries from customers over the phone. Support the team with basic retail math calculations for transactions and sales reporting to ensure accuracy at all times. Qualifications Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and clearly. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales transactions. Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is beneficial. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally.
