Job Summary •This posting may be used to fill multiple openings•This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete a portion of the in-person training out of the Brainerd office. This position is Monday through Friday and eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. This position exists to provide direct technical assistance to consumers applying for Minnesota Health Care Programs through the online application process. The incumbent serves as the primary telephone contact for consumers experiencing difficulties with the online application, Login MN account access, and all aspects of their online experience when applying for or managing their health care coverage. The Customer Service Specialist provides real time phone support to consumers as they complete their online application, offering step-by-step guidance, resolving or referring Login MN and account access issues, and troubleshoots technical problems that prevent consumers from successfully submitting or managing their online applications. This includes identifying and escalating system errors, navigation barriers, and other technical obstacles that consumers encounter during the online application process. A successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication abilities, proficient technical and troubleshooting skills, and the capacity to support consumers through detailed processes with clear, empathetic guidance. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Two years of customer service experience. Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple software applications, databases, as well as possessing data entry skills. Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with consumers, stakeholders, and other DHS staff sufficient to provide accurate and practical information on individual cases. Ability to read, speak and write English well enough to understand, apply and explain complex eligibility policies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Health Care with an emphasis on Minnesota Health Care Programs. Present self with professionalism and patience, deescalating upset callers and routing issues appropriately. Apply principles of protected health information, accurately provide assistance to only those who are able to obtain the information. Ability to multi-task and work independently with a strong work ethic and demonstrated record of regular attendance. Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
