Job Description

Position Summary:
The Office Support Specialist performs moderately difficult office support assignments and customer service functions for agency clients, supervisors, staff, and agencies working with the department in a timely manner. This position's work includes screening clients, customer service, case initiation, maintenance of client records, scheduling, and coordination. Work is performed independently under general supervision in accordance with established agency policy.
Duties:
This position performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service functions of varying complexity in support of Human Services Department operations. The position serves as a primary point of contact for the public, providing assistance in person, by telephone, and through other communication channels while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service. Responsibilities include providing administrative and functional support to agency staff through activities such as case initiation, application assistance, document and records management, data entry, notary services, and . The position ensures the accurate processing and maintenance of information, supports compliance with departmental policies and procedures, and contributes to the efficient delivery of services to clients, staff, and community partners. Required High school diploma, or the equivalent Minimum of one year of clerical experience Experience working with the public Preferred Experience working with a Human Service agency or closely related entity Extensive Computer knowledge Experience working with specialty computer programs such as Caseworks, MAXIS, and SSIS
